Savannah- Angus Joseph Haynes, 90, passed away Friday, June 29, 2007 at Candler Hospital.

He was born May 27, 1917 in New York City, NY. He was a life long resident of Savannah. Angus retired as Director of Customer Service from the United States Postal Service after 36 years. He served in the Army National Guard for 12 years and was a member, past president and treasurer of the German Country Club for 47 years.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Annie Smith Burnside, Clarence Burnside and his sister, Elizabeth Haynes Kilgallon.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Carolyn Carroll Haynes of Savannah; two daughters, JoAnne H. Taylor and Patricia H. Sowell of Savannah; four sons, Gary J. Haynes Shari of Savannah, Donald C. Haynes Marla of Snellville, GA, Chris Crumley Judy of Virginia Beach, VA, Wendall Crumley of Savannah; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 1, 2007 at the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 2, 2007 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.

Interment: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
